Rajgarh. On Children’s Day, Ahimsa Welfare Society launched the “Ahimsa Learning Chaupal” in Sadiyakuan village, Khilchipur Block. This initiative focuses on education, creative learning, child rights, and youth development. It has opened new opportunities for children and young people in rural areas. The children themselves conducted the inauguration, embodying the program's main idea: “Children will lead and create their own learning.”
Ahimsa Learning Chaupal is an open educational and creative space. Children and youth will learn academics along with creative activities, discussions, group dialogue, and leadership skills. The Chaupal has academic books, competitive exam materials, and various learning modules. A unique aspect is that local youth will operate the Chaupal, enabling them to share knowledge and awareness within their communities.
During the event, Manish Dangi from Ahimsa Welfare Society explained children’s rights, safety, equal opportunities, and the importance of education in simple terms. He discussed the fundamental rights and duties of the Constitution using engaging examples, helping children understand their roles as responsible citizens and how they can contribute to society.
Similarly, Arun Satalakar from the organization led a dialogue-based session on important issues like child protection, personal safety, legal awareness, and problems such as child marriage. He stressed that ensuring children’s safety is not just the family’s or the organization’s job; children’s own awareness matters too.
The children at the Chaupal shared their thoughts openly. They expressed the need to avoid bad company, negative environments, and time-wasting habits, advocating instead for participation in creative and positive activities. They acknowledged that learning and education are essential for protecting their rights.
Ahimsa Learning Chaupal will also be especially beneficial for youth who have had to leave their education for various reasons. Here, they will have the chance to reconnect with studies, get guidance, and shape their futures in a new direction.
At the end of the program, all children and youth made a collective pledge. They committed to studying and working together to eliminate social issues like child marriage. They vowed to raise awareness in their village and surrounding communities to promote positive change.
On this occasion, One-Stop Administrator Rashmi Chauhan, former Child Welfare Committee member Jamnalal Bairagi, and members of Ahimsa Welfare Society—Dinesh Solanki, Deepmala Dang, Rajni Prajapati, Narendra Vyas, Sadiq Ahmed, Nikita Mewar, Manish Dangi, Aniket Dangi, Radheshyam Dangi, Prabhu Singh Umath, Durgesh Verma, Jia Mewade, Khushi Bhalwala—were present, along with many children, youth, and community members.
Ahimsa Learning Chaupal is expected to offer new hope for rural children and youth, where education will extend beyond textbooks and become a tool for dialogue, empathy, leadership, and positive change.
