Learning Chopal

Ahimsa Welfare Society has initiated a meaningful grassroots initiative called Learning Chopal in the village of Sadia Kuan. This small yet powerful effort aims to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space where children and young people can learn, explore, and dream about their future.

Currently, 30 to 40 children and youth are actively connected with Learning Chopal. A common space in the village has been thoughtfully developed where they can come together to read, study, and engage in meaningful conversations. It is not just a place for academic learning, but a space for growth, guidance, and confidence-building.

Learning Chopal offers:

• A collection of books suited to different age groups and interests.

• Digital literacy opportunities through access to computers.

• Open discussions on education, career possibilities, and life choices.

• An informal, pressure-free environment that encourages curiosity and self-expression.

• Here, learning happens naturally—through reading, dialogue, and shared experiences.​

Objectives:

Through the Learning Chopal initiative, Ahimsa Welfare Society seeks to:

• Establish and strengthen a culture of learning among children and youth in rural communities.
